The Cruiser

We always made fun of motorhomes.  We called them Drive-Your-Trailers.  Ruth and I were sure we would never own an motorhome.  Then college friends visited and it seems they had purchased an original GMC motorhome.  These motorhomes were made in the 1970s and were totally a GM product.  Many motorhomes are a "house" on the frame of a truck or bus.  The GMC motorhome built from the ground up as a motorhome and GM even installed the interior complete with a whole house vacuum.

We now have a GMC Motorhome and we love it.  I suppose young folks follow us and joke about the old goat in his Drive-Your-Trailer.  From where we sit, the GMC has a panoramic view out the front.  It has all the "house" you would want in the rear, inlcuding a nice bed that does not smell like a motel.  With the air suspension in rear, the GMC rides like a dream.  It is low, sleak, and GMC Motorhomes have been called a 12,000 pound hot rod with plumbing.
