Teachers Say the Nicest Things

"It is nice to be nice to the nice." - Frank Burns, MASH

Teachers have kind things to say about PGGP. I love to read them. Occasionally I remember to write and ask permission to print the comments. Below are a few quotes, used by permission. I chose these because they seem to demonstrate what PGGP is all about...ease of use, straight forward interface... and a real person who answers questions. If I get an e-mail address when a purchase is made, I always send a "Welcome to the PGGP Family" note and ask how they heard about PGGP.   (Do I ever get negative comments?   Sure.   PGGP has been returned five times in the last 21 years.)

Hi George! I have been using PGGP all year and I like it a lot. Thanks for developing it. I am sitting at my desk doing end of year report cards and it is so much smoother than last year! How great is that?

Thank you so very much for your promptness in helping me with my question last week. I find that your grade book program is so much easier than any other program I have previously used. I think that printing reports is very easy and the students can check their grades with ease.

How did I find it? I scouted around for all the "gradebook" sites I could find and pored over a bunch of different programs. Most were too complicated or too "open" - so that it looked like everyone and their grandmother could get into the act. Not being a very trusting soul, either, I rejected the ones that had way too much hype and hoopla. I don't want a grading program to make my coffee in the morning or sing me to sleep at night, I just want it to be a "pretty good grading program." Yours seemed to be straight forward and honest, and when I tried the demo it did what you said it would do, without requiring me to take an advanced degree in computer programming!

I found out about PGGP while doing my student teaching. I went to observe a 3rd grade teacher who showed me the wonders that this program can do to make your life as a teacher simple. As soon as I had a taste of it I told my self I have to buy it. Thanks to you for creating this wonderful program

I have really liked using your program and have recommended it to several teacher friends.  We have another one that is offered through our district, but for me it is too complicated and time consuming.  I used it one year and went back to yours.

We have just completed the first quarter and I am singing the praises of your program. All went well. It was great at report card time and conferences. I have the info on each student right there--no going through a grade book if I needed to look something up---and trying to hide others grades from parents. All that was there was the grades for that student--right in the folder. Now I'll put them together into a grade book because we have to keep a copy for the school. I used the first two reprots (sic)---student summary and all grades. The little summary was perfect for doing report cards. The all grades gave me more info when needed and gives me a paper grade book.

It was also great for behavior. I had a parent ask how many times the child had flipped her card--the record was right there (it is so easy to record each day). I was able to show them how much improvement there was since last year because I knew she'd only flipped it 7 days all quarter--and only once to red (they said last year it would have been the reverse--about 7 days not flipped).

So thank you, thank you for the program. I really find it easy. No it's not absolutely perfect (everyone wants something jut slightly different), but it is MORE than a pretty good grading program--it is a VERY, VERY good program.

I LOVE THE PROGRAM!! It has saved me LOADS of time already! Thanks so much!

I have been using your program forever and love the letters or progress reports I send home. I do not use your attendance on my letters.  So for the past 3-4 years I have been whiting out the attendance area marked Tardy/Absent on the letters.

Is there anyway to take that off the letter?  I found the omit box on the behavior part, but could not find that on the attendance.

Glad you are enjoying PGGP...  <snip> ...Go to Settings, Preferences and click the Omit Attendance.   That should do it.

Hi George,

You are really on the ball - I haven't seen such service in a long time.
